Art the Vote!
As part of the WCU civic engagement initiative, Hunter Library’s Arts in the Library committee, in collaboration with Marie Cochran, School of Art & Design, and Carol Burton, Office of the Provost, are presenting the show “Art the Vote” from October 6 to November 7. The show is an effort to mobilize, register, and engage young voters and the creative community in the political process prior to the November 2008 election. The “best of show” from a campus-wide call for art will be featured in the exhibit. A reception is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, 4.00-6.00pm in Hunter Library. Carol Burton will make opening remarks. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. The exhibit and reception will be held in Hunter Library's first floor gallery.
