"Phases of Currency" Art Exhibit
Hunter Library is pleased to announce an original artwork exhibit by Erin Tapley, an associate professor in Western's Department of Art and Design. "Phases of Currency" will be exhibited from October 2008 through December 2008 in Hunter Library's Second Floor Gallery. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. The exhibit is free.

Friends of the Library Weekend in Atlanta - January 24, 2009
We are pleased to announce the 7th annual FRIENDS WEEKEND IN ATLANTA. It will take place the weekend of January 24, 2009. It includes:
Admission to two High Museum exhibits.(1) The First Emporer: China's Terra Cotta Army. Includes 15 of the life size figures, the largest grouping of these statues ever shown in the United States, plus 85 other objects associated with Qin Shihuangdi, the first emperor of China. (2) The Louvre and the Masterpiece. More than 90 works from the Louvre as the final exhibit of the Louvre Atlanta partnership. The ticket in this package is for admission on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. and includes an audio guide to both exhibits.
Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Saturday, January 24,2009 at 8:00 P.M. Robert Spano conducts Respighi's Fountains and Pines of Rome. Andre Watts plays Brahms Piano Concerto No.2.
Lodging for one night. arrive Saturday, January 24, depart Sunday, January 25, at the Residence Inn located on Peachtree across the street from the High Museum. Breakfast included.
